Quick start ignites Cardinals; Green Bears throttle Hawks

Cardinal Stritch 55, Emmanuel Christian 40

Host Cardinal Stritch raced out to a 15-6 edge after one quarter and won going away Friday night in Toledo Area Athletic Conference boys basketball.

Austin Adams paced the Cardinals (5-3, 4-1 TAAC) with 15 points, Austin Pratt scored 14 and Brooks Gasser had 10.

Adam Regnier led Emmanuel Christian (2-7, 0-5) with 17.

Ottawa Hills 64, Maumee Valley 30

Ottawa Hills made 23 free throws to Maumee Valley's five and the Green Bears cruised on the road.

Geoff Beans and Hunter Sieben led Ottawa Hills (8-1, 5-0) with 13 points each and Nick Hauk added 11.

Rashad Woodley tallied nine points to lead Maumee Valley (8-2, 4-1).

Gibsonburg 63, Toledo Christian 52

GIBSONBURG — Bryce Ernsthausen tallied 20 points as Gibsonburg pulled away in the third quarter with a 20-11 edge.

Andrew Cantrell added 13 for Gibsonburg (6-2, 3-2) and Jordan Kreglow had 10.

Kyle Kempton scored 14 to lead Toledo Christian (4-6, 3-2). Garshawn Paynther had 11.

Danbury 47, Northwood 19

The visiting Lakers poured it on in the second half after leading 16-10 at the break.

John Brooks led Danbury (2-9, 1-4) with 11 points.

Northwood fells to 0-8, 0-5.
