Waite 58, Columbus Brookhaven 44

The Indians (5-7) won at home as Taylor Works scored 19 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, Yatiah Caldwell scored 18 points, and Latesha Craig added 14 Saturday night in girls basketball.

Ashley Johnson paced Brookhaven (8-4) with 19 points, and Nazerae Butler added 15.

 

Southview 66, Clay 51

The host Cougars survived a barrage of 3-pointers from the Eagles to get the victory.

Emily Westphal (18 points), Karen Stanley (16), and Sarah Klepzig (15) led Southview (9-6).

The Eagles (8-4) made 10 3-pointers, including four each from Emily Connor (17 points) and Haley Hess (15).

 

Dayton Meadowdale 69, Scott 38

DAYTON — Symone Palmer scored 11 points for Scott, but the Bulldogs came up short.

Jala Henderson paced Meadowdale with 24 points.

 

Cin. St. Ursula 60, St. Ursula 34

Riley Jerow scored 22 points for Cincinnati St. Ursula, which led 40-11 at halftime. Alex Richards had 12 points for the Arrows.

 

Bowling Green 63, Otsego 40

TONTOGANY — Hanna Williford netted 22 points and was assisted by Tyanna Smith with 12 for the Bobcats (8-6).

Kim Forshey scored 15 and Abby Hesselschwardt 10 for the Knights (5-6).

 

Ottawa Hills 55, Northwood 16

The Green Bears (7-3, 4-1 TAAC) broke out of the gate with a 13-0 first-quarter advantage to win at home.

Olivia VanSlooten scored 14, Allie Dewine 12, and Foster Smith 10 for Ottawa Hills.

 

Eastwood 56, Fostoria 52

PEMBERVILLE — Reagan Brice scored 21 points to lead Eastwood.

Emily Hayward and Kara Ameling added 11 points each for the Eagles.

Erica Moore tallied 22 points to pace Fostoria, and Jada Hampton had 11.

 

Wauseon 51, Defiance 22

WAUSEON — The Indians had an easy time as Natalie Koenig with 14 and Sariah Yackee with 11 led the way.

Laura Schrag scored five for the Bulldogs.

 

Gibsonburg 50, Maumee Valley 16

GIBSONBURG — Danielle Fork scored 12 and Amanda Shammo 11 for the Golden Bears (4-5, 4-2 TAAC).

The Hawks (0-9, 0-5) were led by Kennedie Jackson with nine.

 

Toledo Christian 41, Cardinal Stritch 32

Toledo Christian used 19 points from Darian Westmeyer and 14 by Faith Johnson to get the road victory.

CeCe Gozdowski led the Cardinals with 14. Kama Hardy added 10.

 

Danbury 52, Emmanuel Christian 27

Danbury won on the road behind 14 points from Erin Lavelle, 12 from Stephanie Kukay, and 11 from Megan Stephens.

Mackenzie McCauley paced Emmanuel Christian with nine points.

 

Oak Harbor 53, Edison 40

OAK HARBOR — Andrea Cecil tallied 28 points and Maddy Rathbun chipped in with 10 for the Rockets (10-2).

 

Delta 69, Montpelier 50

DELTA — Brigan Wymer scored 25 points to lead a balanced Delta attack.

Abbie Harris added 16 for the Panthers, Bri Raab scored 12 and Morgan Mattimore had 10.

Hannah Blake led Montpelier with 24 and Baylee Hageman had 17.

 

Bryan 49, Tinora 46

BRYAN — Hannah Schimmoeller hit 11 of 12 free throws, scored 22 points, and helped the Golden Bears rally from a 22-12 halftime deficit to win.

Alex Brown added 10 points for Bryan, which used a 22-8 third-quarter run to take a lead going into the fourth. Ashley Mack scored 12 points for Tinora.
