King’s 24 points lead Rebels; Kirkwood sparks Polar Bears

The visiting Rebels built a 59-34 lead by the half and were never threatened Friday night in a City League boys basketball game.

Bowsher (9-1, 3-0 CL) drained five 3-pointers in the second quarter en route to outscoring Start 37-21.

Dajuan King paced the Rebels with 24 points. Nate Allen added 23, Cam White 16, and Mark Washington 12.

Aaron Williams led the Spartans (1-10, 0-4) with 20 points. Mike Mitchell and Chris Adams scored 10 apiece.

Woodward 58, Waite 50

Craig Kirkwood scored 10 of his 23 points in the decisive fourth quarter as the Polar Bears won on the road.

Woodward outscored Waite 19-9 in the final quarter and broke open a 47-47 tie with just 1 minute, 30 seconds remaining.

Ramoan Fane added 14 points for the Polar Bears (7-4, 1-2).

Taywyn Mason led Waite (5-7, 1-2) with 18 points, Phillip Darrington had 12, and Kelvin Downer 10.
