Girls Basketball: Maumee, Southview, Napoleon win in NLL play

Maumee 43, Springfield 32

Natalie Winkle scored 14 points and Alissa Schneider added 11 for host Maumee (9-8, 4-7 NLL) in a Northern Lakes League girls basketball game Friday night.

Cierra Harris led the Blue Devils (9-7, 5-6) with 11 points.

Charnae Merrell scored 21 points and Alisha Quinn had 12 points to guide the host Cougars (13-2, 9-2 NLL).

Megan Harvey led the Bobcats (3-13, 0-10) with six.

Napoleon 35, Anthony Wayne 25

NAPOLEON — Shae Pedroza scored 14 points and Taylor Strock added 13 points for the host Wildcats (11-5, 6-4 NLL).

Hannah Szul and Sam Schofield both scored six points for Generals (8-7, 6-4).

Otsego 56, Genoa 44

TONTOGANY — Jaclyn Ghesquiere scored 18 points, Brynne Limes added 12, and Holly Roe for the host Knights (8-8, 5-6 NBC).

Caitlin Cruickshank scored 13 for Genoa (3-10, 1-10).

Eastwood 60, Elmwood 45

PEMBERVILLE — The Eagles won a key clash in the Northern Buckeye Conference thanks to Sydnie Abke’s 20 points and Jamie Schmeltz’s 16. Hannah Lines added 11 for Eastwood (12-4, 8-2).

Elmwood (12-4, 9-2) was led by Mattison Hillard’s 12 points and Zoe Shank’s 11.

Lake 40, Rossford 26

MILLBURY — Mya Staczek hit three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points to lead the host Flyers.

Haleigh Peters led Rossford with 16 points.

Bedford 44, Ann Arbor Skyline 29

BEDFORD, Mich. — Aubrie Zeunen scored 11 points to lead the Kicking Mules (10-3) to a victory. Ann Arbor Skyline fell to 1-11.
