Boys Basketball: St. Francis overpowers Clay in TRAC matchup

ST. FRANCIS 73, CLAY 50

St. Francis overpowered Clay en route to a Three Rivers Conference victory Tuesday.

Jackie Harris’ 19 points led the Knights (15-4, 9-2 TRAC). Jakiel Wells scored 18 points and Drew Swerlein had 16.

Reese Waymer had 14 points for Clay (6-13, 1-10 TRAC) and Jacob Novak added 11.

LIMA SENIOR 65, CENTRAL CATHOLIC 51

B.J. Miller tallied 14 points as the Spartans beat the Irish in a TRAC game.

Jaleel King  and Jermaine Daniel each had 11 points for Lima Senior (10-9, 5-6 TRAC).

Kendall Marshall led Central Catholic (6-10, 2-7 TRAC) with 13 points and Dominique Cole added 12.

FINDLAY 57, FREMONT ROSS 45

FINDLAY — R.J. Nunn had a game-high 21 points as the Trojans beat the visiting Little Giants in TRAC play.

Ryan Roth added 17 points and Jacob Logsdon had 10 for Findlay (11-7, 5-5 TRAC). 

Trevion Campbell (15 points) and Bryce McKinstry (14) paced the Fremont Ross (6-11, 2-9). 

ANTHONY WAYNE 65, BOWLING GREEN 58

BOWLING GREEN — Josh Boyer scored 16 points and Max Bradfield added 15 points as the Generals won in overtime against the Bobcats in Northern Lakes League play.

Max Denman and Andrew Murphy each had 13 points for Anthony Wayne.

Isaac Elsasser finished with 18 points for Bowling Green, Bryce Hoehner had 12 points, and Spencer Rader scored 10.

NORTHVIEW 86, MAUMEE 23

Alek West had 15 points to lead the Wildcats to an NLL win against the host Panthers.

Sam Clear had 14 points, Luke Pawlak and Colton Snow had 12, and Reece Lazar 11 for Northview.

Jacob Richardson and Justin Matchem each had five for Maumee.

GENOA 45, OTSEGO 25

TONTOGANY — Jacob Plantz scored 20 points as the visiting Comets remained unbeaten in the Northern Buckeye Conference.

Andrew Bench had 14 points for Genoa (15-3, 10-0 NBC).

Otsego (12-6, 6-5) was led by Will Varner with 11 points.

WOODMORE 57, ELMWOOD 43

BLOOMDALE — Mitchell Miller scored 20 points as the Wildcats beat the Royals in NBC play.

Drew Burner added 10 for Woodmore (14-3, 7-3 NBC).

Matthew Cline led the Royals (6-10, 2-8) with 15 points. Johnathan Duvall chipped in with 11.

ROSSFORD 47, LAKE 32

MILLBURY — Zach Perry’s 16 points propelled the Bulldogs to an NBC win against the host Flyers.

Ryan Jagodzinski added 10 points for Rossford (6-11, 4-6 NBC).

Luke Walsh paced Lake (6-12, 3-7) with 10 points.

EASTWOOD 69, FOSTORIA 48

FOSTORIA — Tyler Haas tallied 30 points as the Eagles beat the Redmen in NBC action.

Aneas Cousin led Fostoria with 27 points.

TOLEDO CHRISTIAN 57, GIBSONBURG 54

Owen Gast had 20 points as the Eagles beat the Golden Bears in Toledo Area Athletic Conference action.

Delano Smith added 16 points for Toledo Christian (14-4, 9-3 TAAC).

Addison Weaver led Gibsonburg (4-11, 2-7) with 20 points, and Jake Foster and Nate Kissell had 11 each.

HILLTOP 65, DELTA 58

DELTA — Steven Riley had 26 points to lead the Cadets past the Panthers.

Austin Schaffner had 14 points, and Andrew Denton added 11 for Hilltop.

Brady Wymer paced Delta with 17 points, Gabe Freeman added 15, and Elliot Schneider scored 13.

WHITEFORD 77, CLINTON 41

OTTAWA LAKE — Four Whiteford players reached double figures scoring to lead the host Bobcats past Clinton in a Tri-County game. 

Jared Fink led Whiteford (12-2, 9-0 Tri-County) with 25 points.

Thomas Eitniear had 13, and Cameron Iott and Hunter Lake scored 10 points each for the Bobcats. 

Mitchell Drabicki finished with a team-high 13 points for Clinton (5-8, 4-6).
