The senior led the Generals to a second consecutive Northwest Hockey Conference National Division title. AW went 23-10 overall and 11-1 in league play. The Generals also won the divisional playoff tournament title.

The captain earned All-NHC first team honors. Hood posted 37 goals and 21 assists. He tallied seven power-play goals and three while his team was shorthanded.

Hood is a four-year varsity letter winner and played consistently all four years, according to AW coach Steve Boehme.

“What makes Brad special is the mental aspect he brings to the game,” Boehme said. “He’s an extremely solid two-way player. He knows when and where to be in all situations. This year we saw a huge boost in his confidence. That confidence coupled with this natural talent made him very lethal on the ice.”

Last year as a junior, Hood produced 11 goals and 22 assists. He helped AW post a 26-2 record as the Generals won the NHC National with a 11-0 record. He earned all-league honorable mention as a sophomore and junior.

“One of Brad's greatest strengths is his leadership and maturity,” Boehme said. “Brad leads by example both on and off the ice. He’s always the first to the the rink, weight room, and film session. He’s great on the ice but he’s even better as a leader with all the intangibles.”

Hood, who also played golf and baseball, will attend Bowling Green State University this fall focusing on academics.

Boehme said Hood was the heart and soul of the team this year.

“He had timely goals in big games. He lead a line that played against most teams top lines and had great success. His leadership on and off the ice was crucial to us being able to repeat,” Boehme said. “Brad is a wonderful ambassador for the Anthony Wayne school system, the AW hockey team, and the sport of hockey. It has been an honor to coach him these past four years.”
