A few years ago, Whitehouse Valley was a promising development. The builder had big plans, and was bringing them to fruition.

But big plans can go awry. The former developer passed away, and Whitehouse Valley languished.

Builder Josh Doyle is now the exclusive builder for Whitehouse Valley, and has brought the neighborhood to life once again, making it the fastest-growing neighborhood in Whitehouse. More than 15 houses have been built and sold in the past year, and a new plat, with 20 new, large lots, has been developed.

The new plat promises to be just as popular as anything built in Whitehouse Valley to date. Some of the lots will feature a water view. All homes are in the well-respected Anthony Wayne School District and close to the Wabash Cannonball Trail. Josh Doyle personally designs each home he builds – in 3D, no less – so that his clients may see every aspect of their home before a single shovelful of dirt is turned. His focus is on structural quality and energy efficiency, and having grown up in the business, he has the experience to make it happen.

His model home at 6216 Whitehouse Valley Drive is a fine example of this. The Craftsman-inspired design incorporates sage green siding with a stone facing on the exterior of the home. Tapered pillars and carriage-style garage doors reinforce the style.

Inside, the foyer ceiling rises 10 feet – and up to 14 feet in the adjacent great room. A den to the right makes an ideal home office. To the left is an elegant formal dining room with more of those beautiful tapered columns.

The sunny great room has a gas fireplace with a tile surround, and a white wood mantel that echoes the tapered pillars. The cathedral ceiling draws the eye upward.

To the right, and open to the great room, is the stunning kitchen. A large work island doubles as a snack bar. The castled cabinets are maple with an ebony stain, topped by crown molding. The countertops are granite. Contemporary glass pendant lights illuminate the kitchen island.

A breakfast nook is already furnished, with a bench and small granite table. A sliding door leads to a covered porch and the patio beyond.

The master suite at this end of the home affords the homeowner privacy. The large bedroom is quite comfortable. The master bath includes a dual vanity topped in white cultured marble, a stone tile step-in shower with a seat, a deep soaking tub, and a walk-in closet. A separate water closet is hidden behind a pocket door.

Also off the kitchen is the home’s mudroom. Lockers create a perfect landing pad for backpacks and sporting equipment. This area also boasts a powder room, the laundry room, and access to the three-car garage.

At the other end of the home are two additional bedrooms; they share a hall bath.

Off the foyer is the staircase to the full, finished basement. A fourth bedroom is located here, adjacent to a full bath. There are also a kitchen, space for a play area or media room, and multiple storage areas.

Homes By Josh Doyle is currently building in six different counties, and will build on your lot within an hour and a half of Toledo.
