TARTA leaders must step up or go

8/3/2014

The Blade continues to look for leadership in all the wrong places. The solution is not a regional sales tax, as you propose, but better TARTA management.

TARTA needs to live within its means. The money it wastes on advertising could attract new communities to service.

You are correct in saying that without leadership, Toledo will continue to lose ground. But the leadership must come from within TARTA, not from bystanders.

If TARTA cannot be successful, it should be sold to someone in the private sector who knows how to run a business with new thinking. Maybe TARTA’s rank and file employees could provide the leadership and change needed for it to survive.
