Go to PizzaPapalis at 519 Monroe St. from 5-9 p.m. on July 27 and help support the fifth anniversary of the Susan’s Smiles of Happiness fund-raiser. Ten percent of the revenue from all dine-in and carry-out meals will be donated to the fund-raiser (excluding alcohol purchases), and all funds raised will be used to pay for the dental needs of individuals with developmental disabilities who are served by the Sunshine Creating Community. There also will be a raffle, and it is not necessary to be present to win.

Explore wine and beer pairings at the Grapes & Grain Dinner at Stella’s Restaurant, 104 Louisiana Ave., Perrysburg, on July 27. Wines will be presented by Adam Mahler of ampelography, who says that this “really cool event” is “an attempt to bridge the gap between the two seemingly disparate beverages of choice.” Bobby Desyn, of Cavalier Distributing, will be presenting the beer selections.
A reception will be at 5 p.m., with the dinner beginning at 6 p.m. The cost is $60 per person.

After the recent death of her husband, Ralph, Gini Behrendt will be keeping new hours at their Flying Rhino Coffee and Chocolate shop, 436 13th St. The store will be open Monday through Friday 7-10 a.m. and 4-6 p.m.
