  • Whether you want breakfast (in the morning or for dinner), a midday meal, supper, or snacks, the Bedford Diner’s extensive menu offers lots of fabulous frugal finds that fall within our $5 per person Cheap Eats budget.

Start with the award-winning chili, which comes served in a cup or a bowl ($2.99 or $3.99, respectively). But why settle for that when you can glam it up? Enhance a plate of plain ol’ cheese fries with it ($4.99) or get the chili on a Coney Island Dog for $2.59. For an extra 50 cents, you can even add cheese to the latter.

From french toast to chili fries, the Bedford Diner has frugal finds for every taste.

Both full and short stacks of pancakes come in under $5, as does the powdered sugar-topped Belgian waffle. Cinnamon raisin french toast that smells absolutely amazing — and tastes just as good — costs $4.99 for two rich slices. A variety of egg dishes in various combinations with toast, hash browns, and/or a choice of bacon, sausage, or ham range from $2.99 to $4.49.

If you just want a sweet treat, desserts include baklava ($2.99) and rice pudding ($2.29) made with favorite Syrian recipes from the restaurant’s owners. Classic shakes and floats cost only $3.99.

Find good food at fair prices at the Bedford Diner, where customers are welcomed like members of the family.
