Wolverines to open 2017 season in Texas

ANN ARBOR -- The Michigan football team will return to Texas.

Michigan's athletic department announced today that the Wolverines will open the 2017 season against Florida in the Cowboys Classic in Arlington, Texas.

Michigan will face Florida on Sept. 2, 2017 at AT&T Stadium in a nationally televised primetime game. Michigan opened the 2012 season in Arlington with a 41-14 loss to Alabama.

The Wolverines (7-5) face Kansas State (7-5) in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl on Dec. 28 in Tempe, Ariz.
