Toledo drops home game despite Hessman's homers
5/26/2014The Mud Hens suffered a 4-3 loss to Durham at Fifth Third Field tonight.
Mike Hessman provided all of the Toledo offense, hammering a pair of home runs and adding a sacrifice fly.
Hessman leads the International League with 13 home runs and now has 257 in the IL, one short of tying the league record.
Durham claimed the win thanks largely to a three-run fifth off Hens starter Drew VerHagen. Mike Fontenot's two-out, two-run double was the key hit in that inning for the Bulls.
