Mud Hens win 7-2 over Buffalo
6/14/2014The Mud Hens scored five times in the fifth and claimed a 7-2 win over Buffalo at Fifth Third Field tonight.
Toledo sent 10 batters to the plate in that inning and bunched together three hits, three walks, three stolen bases and a pair of Bisons errors to produce the five runs.
The Hens also scored twice in the fourth thanks to a two-out RBI ground-rule double by Ben Guez and a run-scoring single by Trevor Crowe.
Duane Below improved to 5-1 by allowing just five hits and two walks in six innings. Justin Miller threw two scoreless frames in relief and Kevin Whelan closed out the win.
