DURHAM, N.C. — The Mud Hens blew a four-run first-inning lead, and almost made up a four-run deficit in the ninth, falling to host Durham 11-10 on Sunday.

Toledo (54-56) hit three home runs in the first inning, including a two-run shot by Jordan Lennerton to give the Hens a 4-0 lead. The Bulls (57-50) got all four runs back in the second and the game was tied until the top of fifth when Toledo scored two and added another in the sixth, only to allow four runs in the bottom of the frame and three more in the seventh to trail 11-7 heading into the top of the ninth.

Reliever Jose Ortego took the loss for Toledo.
