MINNEAPOLIS  — A suspicious package triggered the brief evacuation of a terminal at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

The Humphrey terminal was shut down for about two hours early today. Airport spokesman Patrick Hogan tells the Star Tribune that a woman with a propane tank in a box was stopped by TSA agents and wasn’t allowed to board her flight. So, the woman left the box at a gift shop at the international airport then boarded her plane.

Hogan says the woman was taken off the plane and questioned by airport police. The terminal was reopened and business resumed after the Bloomington bomb squad determined the tank was not an explosive device.

Hogan says he doesn’t know if the tank contained propane.
