4 taken to hospital in University of Michigan fraternity house fire

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Officials say four people have been taken to the hospital after a fire at a University of Michigan fraternity house.

According to a release, firefighters rescued 20 building residents on Saturday. The Ann Arbor News reports four of them were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Crews from the Ann Arbor fire department were called to the house at 5:37 a.m.

The fire was contained to the front area of the building, but there was smoke damage on all floors. Crews had it under control in about 20 minutes.

Police say the Red Cross was called to the scene to help with the displaced residents.
