Detroit man faces arraignment on murder charge in fatal stabbing of mother at their home

DETROIT — A 25-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of his mother at their east side Detroit home.

The Wayne County prosecutor’s office says Jeremy Williams is expected to be arraigned today in 36th District Court.

Prosecutors say police were called to the home early Sunday morning and found 54-year-old Pamela Williams on a bed with multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Jeremy Williams turned himself in to police later Sunday.
