No. 4 Ohio State routs Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Quarterback Braxton Miller threw a career-high four touchdown passes — all in the first half — as Ohio State routed Purdue 56-0 today at Ross-Ade Stadium.

Doran Grant returned an interception 32 yards for a touchdown on the second play from scrimmage, and the fourth-ranked Buckeyes (9-0, 5-0 Big Ten) continued to pile on the league-worst Boilermakers (1-7, 0-4). Miller threw touchdown passes to Jeff Heuerman, Nick Vannett, Corey Brown, and Ezekiel Elliott.

The Buckeyes moved within one win of matching a school-record 22-game winning streak spanning 1967 to 1969.

Miller was replaced at halftime by Kenny Guiton, who had a one-yard touchdown pass and two short scoring runs.

Miller finished 19-of-23 passing for 233 yards. Running back Carlos Hyde had eight carries for 111 yards.
