Dinosaurs will come to life this weekend at the SeaGate Convention Centre when Discover the Dinosaurs roars into town. Families can explore the mystery of prehistoric life at the exhibit, which consists of more than 40 animatronic dinosaur replicas. The show features eight to 10 scenes, each representing a period of time when dinosaurs lived. Sound effects, special lighting, fog, and backdrops help bring the scenes to life. Other fun and educational activities will be available. The exhibit is on display from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Exhibit-only tickets are $13 for children ages 2 to 12, $18 for adults and children 13 and older, and $16 for seniors age 65 and older. Exhibit PLUS tickets are $22 and include mini golf, rides, and inflatables for children younger than 13. Tickets can be purchased at the door, the Huntington Center box office, and at 419-321-5007.

■ The 22nd annual Great Chili Cook-Off sponsored by Mobile Meals of Toledo is on Saturday at the Stranahan Great Hall. The day's activities run from noon to 4 p.m. and include a DJ, outdoor classic car show (weather permitting), and concessions with pop, beer, hot dogs, and ice cream. New this year is a photo booth, where guests can pose with a Harley Davidson motorcycle, and autographs from football players from Ohio State University (Drew Basil and George Makridis) and the University of Michigan (Fitzgerald Toussaint and Courtney Avery). The competition kicks off at noon, with chili sampling until 4 p.m. Attendees will vote for their favorite chilis by making cash donations. Awards begin at 3 p.m. This event is free.
