    Late artist’s paintings, frames, supplies to be soldThe paintings, frames, and supplies of the late Gloria Hudson Sandusky, who created lush florals and landscapes, will be sold Friday and Saturday at her home, 7865 Summerfield Rd., Lambertville. Sandusky was known for using impasto style, applying oil paint thickly with a palette knife. Paintings span her 50-year career and range in size from 5-by-7-inches to 24-by-30-inches, and in price from $40 to $500. In addition, hundreds of frames, blank canvases, easels, supplies, and art books will be sold, said Jan Hudson, her daughter.

    Sandusky taught art, helped found the Bedford Artists’ Club,and was active in the Toledo Artists’ Club and the Toledo Women's Art League. She died in September. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

    Art Walk will be 6 to 9 p.m. July 24 downtown in the Warehouse and UpTown districts. Check out the new UpTown Green Park, a 2.5-acre, $2 million investment full of native plantings and a large, in-the-works mural, at 18th Street and Madison Avenue.     Opening with a 6 to 9 p.m. July 24 reception is Engineering Toledo: Well Built, in the joenstas’ gallery, 18 N. St. Clair St. It highlights a collection of antique photos of local industry and buildings. In addition, there will be new work by Alice Grace, Ronald Jamison, Paul Brandt, Chris May, Kymberly Smith, Patrick McDonagh, and Chelsea Younkman. The show will continue through Aug. 22.

    Artists and authors are invited to take part in the Beyond Words exhibition organized by Prizm Creative Community. Visual artists who want to try to their hand at collaborating with a writer (and vise versa) can peruse the catalogs to find a suitable piece at www.MyPrizm.com.

    The show intends to help people build their creative resume. The art/​lit pairings will be displayed in the gallery at Main Library during September and October. There is no entry fee and the application is on Prizm’s home page. Deadline is Aug. 27.
