2/7/2013

The Lucas County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine’s Crimes Against Children Inititative are trying to track down a registered sex offender who failed to register.

Michael Vanscoder, 30, who last registered his address on 17th Street in Toledo, was convicted in 2004 and 2009 of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. He was released from prison in May.

Vanscoder is described by authorities as a white male, 6 feet, 200 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.

He has several tattoos on his neck, a tattoo of a cross on his right hand, and tattoos covering both arms.

Anyone with information about Vanscoder’s whereabouts should call the sheriff’s office or the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation at 855-BCI-OHIO.
