Missing woman found safe in Cleveland

RISINGSUN, Ohio — The woman who was reported missing from her Scott Township home has been found safe, authorities said.

The Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office reports Cheyenne Giehl, 20, who left on foot Saturday from her home on County Road 21, also known as Girton Road, was found Wednesday in Cleveland. She was staying with a friend, sheriff deputies said.

The sheriff's office said its initial report alleging that Ms. Giehl is autistic and has Down syndrome and bipolar disorder was incorrect. She has none of those conditions.

Ms. Giehl's home is northeast of Risingsun, which is about 25 miles southeast of Toledo.
