Toledo police search for suspects in central Toledo shooting

A man was shot early today in central Toledo by two men who fled, authorities said.

Toledo police identified Johnathan Williams as the shooting victim. His condition was not released.

The assailants were following the victim at Belmont Avenue and Elizabeth Street about 12:30 a.m., at which time they shot him, police said.

The motive was not released.

There was no word of arrests; the incident remained under investigation.
