Man taken to hospital after central Toledo shooting

A man was shot in central Toledo early today, authorities said.

Edward Kinney was treated at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, according to Toledo police. His age and address were not released.

The shooting occurred about 12:50 a.m. in the 1200 block of Indiana Avenue near Dorr Street and North Detroit Avenue, police said.

Police did not say what the motive was.

There was no word of arrests.

The incident remains under investigation.
