Several people were led away in handcuffs today after a brawl at Bowsher High School interrupted the boys' basketball game between Bowsher and Scott High School.
At least two people were injured, including reportedly a Lucas County sheriff's deputy who was working at the game off duty. The injuries were not believed to be serious, authorities said.
The fight broke out in the stands before 8:30 p.m., with 4:44 left in the third quarter and Bowsher leading 37-33.
Play resumed after a 15-minute delay, and Bowsher won the game 67-58.
Toledo police beefed up their presence outside the gymnasium after the incident.
