A 30-year-old man was shot and killed today in central Toledo, authorities said.

Police said Anthony L. Sisson, for whom no address was listed, was found in front of 811 Ross St. around 4 p.m. after a 911 call reported multiple gunshots and a man in the street.

Mr. Sisson was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Dr. James Patrick, the Lucas County coroner, said the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and an autopsy had been scheduled for Thursday.

Mr. Sisson appears to be the 33rd homicide victim this year in Toledo, with two others having been reported elsewhere in the metropolitan area.

The shooting scene is near the boundary of gang turf claimed by 900 and Recc Squad gangs.
