TIFFIN -- A Tiffin man was found dead in the water from a swollen Sandusky River on Christmas Eve.
Tiffin police and the city’s fire and rescue department responded to a report of a man face down in the river at 19 Marlyn St., where they found Ronald G. Martin, 58, in front of his house Tuesday.
Police believe the man was leaving his house and fell into the water, where he died. His death is not considered suspicious.
Seneca County Coroner Dr. Mark Akers responded to the scene.
Heavy rain over the weekend caused flooding around northwest Ohio.
