4 teens hurt in crash 
remain hospitalized
1/20/2014FREMONT — A girl who suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Sunday remained hospitalized Monday in an improved condition.
Savhana Cousins, 15, of Fremont was listed in fair condition at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.
Three other teens were injured — two were thrown from the vehicle — when it went off the north side of County Road 201, west of Tiffin Road, at about 9:40 p.m. Sunday, and overturned in Sandusky County’s Ballville Township.
Troopers said the driver, Javon McDonald, 16, of Fremont was driving too fast for the slick road when he lost control of the vehicle. He was taken to Fremont Memorial Hospital.
Drake Brown, 18, and Janell Raby, 15, both of Fremont, were not wearing seat belts and were ejected from the car. They were taken to Fremont Memorial Hospital with critical injuries, troopers said.
A spokesman at Fremont Memorial Hospital could not be reached for information about the teens’ conditions. Troopers said they do not believe alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
