An alleged robber whose shoe prints led police to him will be in court for the second time Monday on a charge of aggravated robbery.

Damien Flowers, 32, of 21 W. Park St. remains in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $75,000 bond after he was arraigned Saturday in Toledo Municipal Court for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

Police Sgt. Joe Heffernan said the suspect allegedly robbed a driver for Vito’s Pizza at 10:10 p.m. on Friday at 253 E. Lake St. in North Toledo. The victim told police he was delivering a pizza when a man pointed a gun at him, took his delivery and money bags, and fled, leaving prints in the snow.

Police followed the footprints to the West Park address and were given permission to search the home, Sergeant Heffernan said. Inside, the sergeant said, police found evidence and, with the victim’s help, identified Mr. Flowers as a suspect.
