Emergency pavement repairs block lanes on I-75 near downtown

Two of four lanes, including the Erie Street entrance, are closed on southbound I-75 just south of downtown for emergency bridge repairs at Segur Avenue, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced.

"Due to the extremely cold temperatures, the size of the repair, and materials necessary, the lane closures could be in effect for several days," ODOT said in a statement.

Southbound motorists on I-75 should consider using I-280 and westbound State Rt. 795 as an alternative route.

From downtown Toledo, the Martin Luther King, Jr. or Anthony Wayne bridges, then Miami Street back to I-75, may be preferable to using the Michigan Street/Anthony Wayne Trail entrance to I-75.
