2-car crash kills one, injures two near Bowling Green

Gibsonburg man's vehicle went left of center late this morning

BOWLING GREEN - A Gibsonburg, Ohio, man was killed and two people were injured in a two-car crash today near Bowling Green, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

David Kaseman, 58, who was driving one of the cars, was pronounced dead at Wood County Hospital, according to the patrol's Bowling Green post.

The driver of the other vehicle, William Beard Jr., 74, of Pemberville, and his wife who was a passenger, Judy Beard, 73, were taken to Wood County Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, according to the patrol. Their conditions were not released.

Mr. Kaseman's car went left of center and struck the other vehicle head-on about 10:25 a.m. while westbound on State Rt. 105 near South Dunbridge Road, east of the I-75 interchange, troopers said.

All the people involved were wearing seatbelts and alcohol was not an apparent factor, troopers said.

Both vehicles suffered “heavy and disabling” damage, according to written statement by the patrol. The crash remained under investigation.
