Death of woman found in Fulton Co. field ruled homicide

LYONS, Ohio — The death of a Springfield Township woman found dead in Fulton County on Saturday has been ruled a homicide.

The Lucas County Coroner's Office, which performed an autopsy on Brandi Gonyer-Boaston, 28, on Monday, determined that she died of asphyxiation, according to a news release from the Toledo Police Department.

Ms. Gonyer-Boaston's body was found in a running vehicle, parked in a field on County Road N between County Road 8 and State Rt. 109 in Royalton Township, at 7:40 a.m. Saturday by hunters.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Office could not be reached today for additional information.

Toledo police are assisting Fulton County with the investigation, although the department's exact role is unclear.

No suspects have been identified.
