The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch beginning Thursday for many parts of the region.

The flood watch is in effect from 3 p.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday. It warns flooding could take place as snow melts and rain starts. Ice jams on rivers also are possible and could result in flooding.

The watch covers Lucas, Wood, Ottawa, Sandusky, Erie, Hancock, Seneca, Huron, Wyandot and Crawford counties, among others.

Warmer temperatures - reaching a high near 48 degrees - and rain are expected Thursday.
