A woman accused of beating her son “excessively” with an extension cord was arrested Thursday night and arraigned today in Toledo Municipal Court.

Police charged Nichelle Marsh, 35, of 1412 N. Erie St., with one count of endangering children.

She was ordered to remain in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.

The age of the boy was not immediately available, but police said the juvenile ran out of the North Erie home without a coat and went to a friend's house “for fear of his own safety,” according to court records.

No additional information was immediately available.
