Dominique Buford apparently was unhappy about being in the Lucas County jail after a drug raid Sunday, according to a police report.

When he saw one of the Toledo police officers who had arrested him the day before, the 22-year-old Toledo man, who was still in booking Monday, allegedly yelled at the officer, shouted gang slang, and used one of his hands to make the shape of a gun and then motion as if he was shooting Officer Matthew Slaman, according to police.

Mr. Buford of 1410 Norwood Ave. is charged with aggravated menacing. He was arraigned Thursday in Toledo Municipal Court and jailed in lieu of $2,500 bond, which court records say was posted later that day.

Mr. Buford has previously told The Blade he associates with the Lil Heads, a Bloods-affiliated gang in the central city.

Mr. Buford was arrested Sunday at 1034 Norwood during the Toledo Police Department’s annual Dirty Boy operation — raids executed in memory of slain Detective Keith Dressel, who was shot in the line of duty on Feb. 21, 2007.

According to court records, when Mr. Buford was arrested Sunday, he had a loaded 9mm handgun next to the bed where he was sleeping.

For that he was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and obstructing official business. He posted $10,000 bond set during his first arraignment Monday.
