Marquis A. Walker, a suspect in the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend in October in Toledo, was arrested Monday night in Jonesboro, Ark., authorities said.

Mr. Walker, who was being held in the Craighead County jail, allegedly shot and killed Jordan Jones-Harris, 23, at the Tamaron apartments on Alexis Road near Jackman Road about 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 13. The victim was shot several times.

Toledo police charged Mr. Walker with murder and launched a search to find him. The family of the victim reached out with flyers to help police track down Mr. Walker, who had been living in Toledo.

Ms. Jones-Harris dated Mr. Walker for years, but ended the relationship several months before the shooting, a relative said.

Craighead County is in the northeast corner of Arkansas.
