Four people were injured early Sunday when two vehicles collided in South Toledo.

Police are still investigating what caused the vehicles, which were both westbound on Dorr Street near Penn Street, to collide at 2:05 a.m. After the vehicles struck one another, they went off the right side of the road. One of the vehicles then struck a utility pole and a tree.

Inside the vehicle that struck the pole and tree were Adnan Mohammed A. Alnasser, 20, of Hilltop Lane, and Amin Ashour, 20, of University Hills Boulevard. Both were taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio, for treatment.

In the second vehicle were Michael Coffman, 23, of Woodbridge, and Timothy Cope, 18, of Custer.

Mr. Coffman was taken to UTMC; Mr. Cope was taken to ProMedica Toledo Hospital where he was in fair condition on Sunday morning.

A UTMC spokesman said Mr. Ashour was at the hospital but did not have a condition for the patient; information about the other two victims was not available.
