A woman driving near the University of Toledo early today reported to police that an armed man tried to rob her.

Kayla Rivera, 21, of Northwood, told police she was driving and stopped at a stop sign at Dorr Street and Mackow Drive at about 3:30 a.m. A man outside said something to her, prompting the woman to roll-down a window about an inch.

The man stuck a handgun inside the window and said, "Give me your money," according to a police report.

Ms. Rivera told police she started to honk her horn and drove off. The suspect fled on foot, eastbound on Mackow.

The suspect is described by authorities as white, 25 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall, and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatsuit and had a black handgun.
