A West Toledo convenience store was robbed Tuesday night by a man with a sawed-off shotgun inside his jacket sleeve.

An employee at Gateway Express, 3819 Haverhill Dr., told police that a man came into the store at 11:41 p.m. and, with a soda in hand, asked for cigarettes and cigarillos. After the clerk put both on the counter the robber said, “Give me all the money in the drawer” before showing the gun, a Toledo police report showed.

The robber fled with the tobacco and cash, the report states. He was described as black, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black coat with a white cartoon robot on the back, dark pants, and a blue-plaid fur hat.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 419-724-6054.
