24-year old man suspected in robbery of Charter One Bank

Toledo police sought a 24-year-old man today who is believed to have robbed a South Toledo bank branch hours earlier.

A warrant was obtained for the arrest of Ryan Shumaker accusing him of aggravated robbery in connection with the 12:25 p.m. incident at Charter One Bank, 1501 S. Detroit Ave.

According to police, a male robber who had been dropped off from a vehicle at the bank handed a teller a note demanding money, then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The vehicle involved was later located, which led investigators to the suspect's identity.

No injuries were reported.
