The FBI is seeking the public's help in identifying a man who, officials allege, engaged in “sexually explicit activities” with a child.

Officials do not know where in the United States the man is from or where he might be. He is only known to them as “John Doe 28.”

Images and video of the man were first recorded in November, 2012, by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Officials declined to say how or where the images were found.

“Does anyone know who this is? Does anyone recognize this shirt? It looks like there's a shark on it. Is it something that could be part of a club, specific to a part of the United States. Anything like that,” said Special Agent Kelly Liberti who is based out of the FBI's Cleveland office.

In the images, there appears to be a blue sofa chair with a picture hanging on a wall in the background. The man is wearing wire-framed glasses and a burgundy T-shirt with a shark logo on the left side. Officials describe him as white and possibly in his 30s or 40s. He has a receding hairline.
