A Toledo man thought to be back in the area is wanted for a murder in Georgia.

The FBI and Toledo police are seeking Brandon Morgan, 28, who is accused of murder in DeKalb County in the Atlanta suburbs. Officials said Morgan is known to hang out in the Old West End’s outskirts around Rosewood and Maplewood avenues.

Georgia officials say Morgan was involved in a gang-related shooting, but have provided no further details about when it occurred or who was shot. A message seeking comment was left for a Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

David Dustin, special agent in charge of the Toledo FBI office, said Morgan has family in Toledo and officials were told that, sometime between March 25 and Tuesday, the suspect was picked up in Georgia and brought back to Toledo.

Morgan is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and 280 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111 or the FBI at 419-243-6122.
