Toledoan wanted for murder in Georgia arrested

Brandon Morgan, a Toledo man wanted for murder in Georgia, was arrested today in Maumee, police said.

Morgan, 28, is charged with murder in Dekalb County.

The suspect was found today at the Budget Inn, 156 Dussell Dr., in Maumee, according to a statement from Toledo police. He was arrested at 3 p.m. without incident and booked into the Lucas County jail pending extradition to Georgia.

Federal officials said on Tuesday that Morgan is from Toledo and, through an investigation into his whereabouts, were told that he was picked up in Georgia and brought back to Toledo.

It was not clear how officials tracked Morgan there.
