SWANTON — Troopers at the Ohio Highway Patrol’s Toledo post are investigating a hit-skip crash that injured a pedestrian. Haylee Michelle Brandt, 30, of Swanton was in serious condition Thursday in Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.

Ms. Brandt was walking north along the right edge of Main Street near Valleywoods Drive in Swanton about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when she was struck by a northbound car driven by Rebecca Sue Yarberry, 20, of Toledo. Ms. Brandt was thrown into a nearby yard.
