Bond set at $200,000 for man charged in alleged rape

A woman was walking in East Toledo late Thursday night when she claims she was grabbed, dragged into an abandoned house, and raped, according to court documents.

Police charged Raymond Green, Jr., 18, of 1073 Sisson, with abduction with a sexual motivation and rape. He was arraigned today in Toledo Municipal Court and ordered to remain in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $200,000 bond.

According to affidavits, the woman was walking when a man grabbed her put a knife to her throat, and dragged her into 504 E. Broadway Street, an abandoned house. Police records indicate the incident was reported at 11:24 p.m.

The victim told police she thought she would die, the court document states.

Inside the house the man continued to hold the knife to the woman's throat and demanded she perform oral sex on him, according to court records.

The Blade does not identify victims of sex-related crimes.

Mr. Green is due in court for a preliminary hearing on May 2.
