Fourteen drivers were arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol during a special 12-hour enforcement blitz undertaken by several agencies from 6 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Saturday morning.
The 29th annual Circle Toledo event resulted in 199 citations among 397 vehicles that were pulled over. Included were 18 seat belt violations.
The sweep was undertaken by the Ohio Highway Patrol, Michigan State Police, and agencies from Wood, Lucas, Fulton, and Monroe counties.
