OAK HARBOR, Ohio — A body found on a Carroll Township beach Tuesday was that of Bryan Huff, authorities said.

The identification was confirmed by the Ottawa County coroner’s office, Sheriff Stephen Levorchick said.

Mr. Huff’s body was found on a beach by Division Street near the Green Cove condominium complex. He was one of four boaters reported missing April 17 after a fishing trip on Lake Erie.

An Ottawa County sheriff’s boat made a tour Wednesday afternoon of the shoreline and around West Sister Island, but located nothing more.

“It’s not a renewed search,” Sheriff Levorchick said.

The bodies of Amy Santus, 33, of Perrysburg Township and Paige Widmer, 16, of Pelion, S.C., were recovered. Still missing is Andrew Rose, 33, of Maumee.

Marc Schulte of the Black Swamp Ohio Outdoors organization said that the family of Mr. Huff, 32, of Rossford, was informed Tuesday night by an investigator with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Mr. Schulte said Mr. Huff and Ms. Santus were his business partners.

On its Facebook page, the outdoors organization posted “Bryan is home! Such a double edged sword but knowing that we have him home is a relief! May all your days in heaven be filled with big walleye! Leave some for me brother .... see you soon!”

Dr. James Patrick, Lucas County coroner, said an autopsy is scheduled for today.
