Memorial 5K will raise funds for tutor program

A three-mile run in memory of Jordan Harris, a woman who was shot dead in Toledo last year, is to be hosted Saturday at Ottawa Park.

The 5K walk and run, sponsored by the Toledo Police Department’s Police Prevention Team, is to benefit STRIVE, a nonprofit educational program that offers tutoring for the Ohio Graduation Test.

The race is to start at 9:30 a.m. with registration beginning at 8 a.m. Cost is $15. The first 200 registrants will receive a T-shirt.
