Fayette woman injured in crash near Archbold

ARCHBOLD, Ohio — A Fayette, Ohio, woman was seriously injured when the car she was driving crashed on State Rt. 66 near Archbold early today, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Ashtyn McCrae Baker, 19, was listed in critical condition in Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, a hospital spokesman said.

Ms. McCrae Baker was driving north near milepost 9 in Fulton County's Franklin Township about 1:15 a.m. when for unknown reasons she drove off the right side of the road, troopers at the patrol's Toledo post said. The car then struck an embankment and overturned.

It was unknown whether the victim, who was driving alone, wore a seat belt, according to the patrol.

Archbold, in Fulton County, is about 40 miles west of Toledo.

The crash remains under investigation.
