Police initially believed the shooting to be gang-related. But as the investigation progressed, authorities determined that it appeared to be about a woman.

Areanna Coley, 18, of the Brentwood address, also appeared in court today and was ordered held in lieu of $25,000 bond. She is charged with obstructing justice in the same case. Authorities claim she lied to police about Mr. Jones’ whereabouts.
